Women's Lacrosse start the season with a bang!

Thursday 27 September 2012

After a great pre-season which started on the 2nd September at the University Sports Centre, Women's Lacrosse got their season underway with a monstrous 19-0 defeat of Aberdeen 2nds. The girls have high hopes for this season after reaching the last 16 of the BUCS Championship last year and hope to improve on that while retaining their Scottish 1A league title. In the other game played in Tier 1A, Glasgow 1sts beat Aberdeen 1sts 12-0 suggesting the team from the West might be the team to beat this season. Edinburgh 2nds and Stirling 1sts make up the remainder of the league and on Wednesday 3rd October St Andrews' Women travel to Stirling, a chance for another win and a look at the opposition for the first round of the BUCS Trophy which will be played on 14th November.
