Stephen has been the University's Director of Sport since January 2008. He is responsible for overseeing the Department and the services within Previously Stephen was Loughborough University's Deputy Director of Sport and therefore has a wealth of expereince in both elite and University sport. Rugby is Stephen's sport although he enjoy most sports. He is a keen Ulster and Ireland fan.

Debby has an accomplished Sports Science background (BSc (Hons, MSc, PGDipl) and specialises in Strength and Conditioning (Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, UKSCA Trainer and Assessor). Debby is the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics in Scotland and works closely with the Sportscotland Scottish Institute of Sport to offer support packages to St Andrews students affiliated to the Institute. Allan's main role is to manage the Strength and Conditioning support services. As part of the management team it is Allan's job to ensure all our University sports teams, individual athletes, as well as the local talented athletes, receive the support they need to improve in their sport. This could be basic programming for athletes on the path to sports performance, or for athletes already performing at a national, or international level.
Allan works within a team of experts (including physiotherapists and physiologists), to ensure that the individual needs of athletes are catered for.

Gary is responsible for developing sports initiatives and programmes for students and staff at the University, as well as children in the local community. Please contact him if you have any questions regarding the Hall Sport programme, student and staff golf lessons or any of the Junior Saints activities, which include preschool and afterschool multisport sessions, football sessions and Easter and Summer holiday sports camps. Gary is a keen golfer and football fan and can be regularly seen taking part in the Saints 6 a-side football leagues.

Iain is one of the centre's supervisors, responsible for ensuring the facilities are running smoothly. Iain also administrates and organises the mixed hockey league. Emily Griffiths is the current elected AU president. Within the sabbatical position, Emily represents the students' view in various forums: at the University and throughout Scottish Student Sport (SSS) and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). She is there to support all students who are involved in sports clubs and exercise at the university; whether that be on a club or individual basis. Responsibilities include chairing the Executive committee, leading developments in AU strategy and running AU operations. Working alongside University staff, she also aims to promote and progress student sport.

Elaine Finlay manages the fixtures and administration of the Athletic Union. Fixtures include the scheduling of matches against universities in Scotland and throughout the UK, encompassing SSS and BUCS leagues. Elaine is also responsible for assisting with the general day-to-day running of the AU and has vast experience in dealing with the whole array of operations. She is also ultimately responsible for the health and safety of all student sport and is also the contact between the university and the Links Trust for all students.

Peter Burgon is responsible for club development, with the aim to improve each of the 55 respective sports clubs' strategy and operations. This is achieved through semesterly meetings with each of the sports clubs and also through the Club Excellence Programme. This initiative, run by Pete, upskills committees in a wide range of areas such as goal setting, committee, budget and project management. He is responsible for the promotion and organisation of the volunteering pathways. There are numerous local outreach, national and international projects that the AU is involved with, including Healthy Body Healthy Mind, Lead 2014 and Project Zambia.

Manages all transport bookings for the Athletic Union. The AU provides hire cars for BUCS and SSS fixtures for our 60 sports clubs. Jenni coordinates club demands and liaises with Arnold Clark to arrange bookings where appropriate. The Athletic Union also has 4 cars of its own and Jenni manages those as well.

James Rivers provides support and advice to the President on all matters in the running of the AU. He is responsible for monitoring the health and welfare of all student athletes and alongside the Fixtures and Administration Manager manages Clubs' Health and Safety Policies. His role also includes awarding University Blues and Colours to our top athletes, arranging a Blues and Colours awards dinner, the Sports Ball - an annual celebration of sporting achievement, AU events and social occasions, such as Sinners Sport.

Eric Morden sets and monitors the AU budget and reports to the AU Executive on the AU's financial position on a regular basis. He is responsible for formulating a Club Financial Agreement between the AU and its affiliated clubs. He supervises the actions of all club treasurers and ensures that all clubs are in control, recording and managing their finances effectively. He is also responsible for ensuring that the AU's financial procedures are in line with that of the University's.

Catriona Bennett is responsible for the organisation of the agenda and minute taking of the weekly executive meetings. She also acts as as the transportation officer for the AU.
Maddie Gunn

Maddie Gunn's role incorporates all activities which relate to alumni of the Athletic Union. Responsibilities include liaising with the University Development Office and AU Club Committees to gather future alumni contact details. She manages the AU Alumni & Blues and Colours databases. Additional tasks include editing the AU Alumni newsletter, the AU Alumni Website, and managing the Hall of Fame.

Kirstie Macmillan's duties include the visual output of the Athletic Union, which includes the creation of posters, flyers, web graphics and the annual AU Club Guide. She is responsible for the integrity and development of the Saints Sport brand and also for ensuring that a good amount of University sports photography and media is produced.
