Club information
The Ski & Snowboarding Club is one of the largest and most social clubs at the University. We run a development program to help encourage total beginners and support intermediates in both skiing and snowboarding. We also cater for seasoned skiers/boarders and competitors, offering almost weekly trips to dryslopes and snowdomes across Scotland, to include race training and freestyle lessons. Always looking to increase the size of our team, even if you haven¿t raced before, we¿re eager for people to give it a go! Each year we take a BUSA level group of athletes to the Scottish and British Dryslope Championships (BUDS/SUDS) in Edinburgh, and also to the Snow Championships (BUSC) in the Alps. In addition to this there is our infamous ski holiday trip taking 200 people to the Alps just after January exams, trips to Scottish Ski areas if the snow is decent, and the smaller trip to BUSC at Easter if you just can¿t get enough! Also known for our ability to `play hard¿ (We ski, we just can¿t help it!), our social events throughout the year, inlcuding our `SnowBall¿ in February, are not to be missed!
