Club information
The men's cricket club is one of the more prominent sporting and social clubs at the university. The club puts out 3 teams and hence welcoems seasoned cricketeres as well as newcomers. The club 1st XU have been the SUS Champions for the past 2 years running, as well reaching the BUCS Championship quarter-finals in 2007. We compensate for a relatively short summer season by also playing in the Scottish Universities Indoor Leage in the winter months, as well as organising an annual cricket tour for the 1st and 2ns teams, which in recent years have toured South Africa, West Indies and India. This year, the club shall be running the Catch 20:20 festival competition in fresher's week, comprising of 8 teams, in a day of colour, music and beer, rounded off by a premier evening event.
