What do I need to bring with me?
You should bring your class ticket with you to every session, which will get punched at Reception on entry. If you are transferring into a class then you will need to bring your usual class ticket with you. It is also advisable to bring a water bottle with you in a non-breakable container. There are water fountains around the Sports Centre building where you can re-fill your bottle.
How do I book for classes?
Application forms for the current term can be collected from the Sports Centre Reception.
Where do I get my class ticket?
Your new class ticket should be collected from Reception before your first class each term (they will not be sent out). Please allow an extra 5 minutes, so that you arrive at your class in time for the start of the warm up. The Sports Centre Reception staff will punch this ticket for you each time you attend.
Can I drop-in to classes?
You can access classes on a pay as you go basis provided that the class you want to go to is not fully booked. Pilates is only available by booking for the entire Term.
Do I have to be a member?
NO. Energise is open to all over the age of 14 years.
Can I make up missed sessions?
If you miss a class and wish to transfer to another class, you should bring the ticket of the class you have missed. You can transfer for free on two occasions (per class booked). If you transfer more than twice you will be charged the small fee of 50p per transfer. Remember, you can only transfer into other classes that are not full on the day and that are of a suitable level for you. Please inform the class teacher when you transfer. Only those booked into a Pilates course can transfer into another Pilates class.
There may also be some classes which are progressive throughout the term and it may not be appropriate to start mid-way through the term. If you are thinking of dropping in then it is a good idea to ring the Sports Centre (01334 452190) beforehand to check class viabilty.
What shall I wear?
The type of clothing you wear will depend on the activity that you will be doing. Most activities require lose, comfortable clothing that will not restrict movement and will allow the skin to breathe. It is advisable to wear layers of clothing so that you can take clothes off or on depending on how you are feeling.
What if I forget my ticket?
If you forget your ticket, you will have to wait until your name can be checked against the class list at Reception. How do I know how hard the class will be?
Numbers that appear in some class titles are simply class names. For example, in Workshop Workouts 1 and 2 the intensity levels are the same in each class. The class descriptor will give you the best indication of what the content of each class is and the intensity level.
Can I make a comment about a class?
Suggestions and feedback about the classes is always welcomed and encouraged.Where can I park my car?
The Sports Centre has a car park just outside, exclusively for members and users of the Sports Centre. There is no additional charge for parking your car.
Can I get a refund?
In exceptional circumstances refunds may be considered. Requests must be made in writing and received prior to the final week of the term. Your class ticket should be attached to your request. When calculating the amount to be refunded any classes attended will be charged at the individual class rate.
