Professor Ivor Davidson

A graduate in Classics and Theology from the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, Professor Davidson joined the University of St Andrews as Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology in 2009. He was previously Professor of Theology at the University of Otago, New Zealand, where he had taught since 1997 and was appointed to a Personal Chair in 2004.
He has published widely in patristics and in modern Christian theology. In addition to his duties as Dean, he is Head of the School of Divinity and Principal of St Mary's College.
