SASP in the Philosophical Gourmet Report 2009
In the 2009 Philosophical Gourmet Report, compiled from surveys completed by 300 philosophers in top departments throughout the English-speaking world, the St Andrews/Stirling joint graduate program was ranked as the 2nd best philosophy program in the UK, and the 17th best in the (English-speaking) world.
SASP ranked 1st equal in the world for History of Analytic Philosophy (including Wittgenstein), and ranked highly in a wide range of other specialities, including philosophy of language, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophical logic, ethics, philosophy of law, philosophy of art, philosophy of mathematics, Ancient philosophy, Medieval philosophy, 18th century philosophy, and Kant.
