SALTIRE courses
Courses for students
Small group tutorials and larger group seminars (covering topics such as essay writing, report writing, referencing, presentation skills and exam preparation) are offered to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students throughout the year. Visit our course catalogue for further details. For Postgraduates, these courses are also supplemented by the GRADskills programme.
Courses for staff
SALTIRE runs an Academic Staff Development programme for new and established members of staff. The programme includes workshops on a range of topics including assessment & feedback, research supervision, the international student experience and digital literacy.
The Deans organise a twice-yearly academic induction event for new members of academic staff, with administrative support provided by SALTIRE. The programme and presentations from the most recent event are available online.
We can also provide partial funding to staff who wish to attend an external course or conference that develops their teaching skills. Details of forthcoming teaching, learning and enhancement events are available via our Teaching & Learning/QA-QE web page.
Continuing professional development is also provided by Staff Development (Human Resouces), the Library and IT Services. Their courses are also advertised via the University's course catalogue
