Neuroscience facilities
The School of Psychology & Neuroscience has well-equiped facilities for conducting a broad range of neuroscience techniques. Funding for these facilities has been gained from several research bodies, including BBSRC, MRC and the Wellcome Trust.
Available resources include
- behavioural testing equipment, such as operant boxes, mazes, and automated locomotion monitoring,
- electrophysiology unit recording and surgical equipment,
- histology
- Leica multiphoton/confocal microscope and an imaging scope,
- hormone assay facilities (ELISA and RIA), and
- joint access to the fMRI facilities through the SINAPSE partnership
Please contact Gareth Miles if you wish to have access to the confocal microscope.
