Neuroscience facilities

The School of Psychology & Neuroscience has well-equiped facilities for conducting a broad range of neuroscience techniques. Funding for these facilities has been gained from several research bodies, including BBSRC, MRC and the Wellcome Trust.

Available resources include

  1. behavioural testing equipment, such as operant boxes, mazes, and automated locomotion monitoring,
  2. electrophysiology unit recording and surgical equipment,
  3. histology
  4. Leica multiphoton/confocal microscope and an imaging scope,
  5. hormone assay facilities (ELISA and RIA), and
  6. joint access to the fMRI facilities through the SINAPSE partnership

Please contact Gareth Miles if you wish to have access to the confocal microscope.
