Research

The School of Psychology & Neuroscience has consistently been ranked one of the best research departments in the UK. The 2014 REF exercise has confirmed our standing as one of the top research departments in the country. In overall terms our rating has risen dramatically since the previous exercise in 2008. Nearly half of our activities (46%) were given the highest rating as truly world class and our research environment is rated as equal first in the UK. Our research is broadly organised around 4 research themes, with many members of the School carrying out research in more than one theme. Researchers from the School also contribute to numerous interdisciplinary research centres and institutes.
