Image modification
Our photographic technicians can also tackle any discipline which has an imaging application. They work with virtually anything that can be scanned up to 16 × 12 inches (40.5 × 30.5cm).
We have expertise in image modification of any kind of imaging application but these are primarily historic photographic prints. The photographs are scanned at high resolution and then detailed and skilled digital repair is carried out on the damaged photographs.

Original version

Repaired version
The photos are then saved as digital images but many of our customers request our high-end photographic prints on specialist media e.g. fine art paper, textured materials, for example canvas and on premium digital papers. The prints can be at any size up to A0 posters. Please see our Printing page for more information.
This work is carried out for a number of academic Schools and Units, in particular Art History and the University Library but any enquiry is welcome.
The District Museums Service are also important clients.
Personal enquiries are always welcome both within and outside the University.
Special collections
We maintain close links with Special Collections, University Library, who hold an extensive historic photographic archive.
