Fabric Spine Soft Binding
A type of soft binding in which all the pages are glued to a fabric spine. It has a clear acetate front and a solid back cover, in the St Andrews corporate colour.
This is a popular option for dissertation binding - please see Dissertation and thesis printing and binding for more details.
- 80gsm paper, 350 single sided pages maximum
- 100gsm paper, 290 single sided pages maximum

This binding can be completed within the hour.
Hard Case Binding
A type of hardcover book binding using a type of simulated suede. The cover is printed with a gold foil block with the title of the document and the author's name, which is also imprinted on the spine.
St Andrews students may choose two styles of hard binding whereas students from other universities can only be offered the Glasgow style.
ALL UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE DISSERTATIONS MUST BE SOFT BOUND.
Styles
St Andrews Style: Pages are glued to the spine. Black binding only. Can be completed within 48 hours (Minimum of 100 and maximum of 290 pages, printed single sided only) Price: £25.00
Glasgow Style: Pages are sewn to the spine, in a choice of colours:
- Black
- Dark Blue
- Dark Green
- Maroon
- Red
Can be completed within one week. Price: £30.00 Subject to an additional £4.00 delivery charge.
Glasgow Deluxe Style: Pages are sewn to the spine, in a choice of colours:
- Black
- Dark Blue
- Dark Green
- Maroon
- Red
Includes head and tail bands, ribbon marker and gold gilt corners. Can be completed within one week. Price: £60.00 Subject to an additional £4.00 delivery charge.

Perfect Binding
A paperback finish using a variety of covers.
A4 and A5 size only.

Stitch Binding
We can digitally produce A4, A5 and A6 stitch bind books, brochures/magazines from 8 pages up to 100 pages on 80gsm white/colour paper.

Unibind
A type of soft binding in which all the pages are glued to the spine. It has a clear acetate front and back cover with a rigid, black spine.
