MUSA shortlisted for the ASVA Best Visitor Experience Award.
Team win finalist trophy, as the only museum to make it through to the final stages.
Monday 19 November 2012
The Museum of the University of St Andrews was recently shortlisted for the ASVA (Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions) Best Visitor Experience Award, following a secret visit from a ‘mystery visitor’. As finalists the team were presented with a glass trophy, in recognition of the museum’s outstanding layout, content, and the quality of interaction between visitors and staff.
Ella Voce, MUSA Operations Officer, said:
“We are very pleased and excited to have been shortlisted for this award. It is recognition of the high standard of customer experience at the museum and is a reflection of the 5 star grading which we received from Visit Scotland’s Quality Assurance Scheme in 2011 and was maintained in May 2012.”
This achievement gives MUSA two reasons to celebrate this week – as the museum will mark its 4th birthday on Sunday 25 November. The museum was officially opened by Dr Ian Rankin OBE on 25 November 2008.
Next week the museum will extend its opening hours to tie in with the St Andrews week festival and for Graduation. MUSA will be open from Monday 26 November to Saturday 1 December from 10am – 5pm and Sunday from 12 noon – 4pm.
