Kind-hearted St Andrews students have raised over £100k for charity.

Monday 17 September 2012

Kind-hearted St Andrews students have raised over £100k for charity.

It is the biggest total ever achieved by St Andrews’ student fundraisers who staged a variety of events throughout last year – including a Race2Barcelona, with students competing to get to Barcelona first without spending money, and a sponsored jailbreak – to bring in the cash.

Campaign mascot Rory McLion this week presented cheques to the local and national charities who will benefit from the record-breaking total. They include Macmillan Cancer Support, Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and the RNLI.
