Students kick off RAG Week (10-18 February)
Thursday 09 February 2012
RAG Week (10-18 February) will see generous students take to the streets of St Andrews with the aim of raising as much money for charity as possible.
Raising and Giving Week is the official charity week of the University of St Andrews’ Charities Campaign.
The proceeds from RAG Week 2012 will benefit the University of St Andrews' six nominated charities: Cancer Research UK, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), Macmillan Cancer Support, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), and Medecins Sans Frontiers.
Some society events elect to support additional charities such as Unicef, Arts 4 Dementia, Project Zambia, Amnesty International and other very worthwhile charities.
Events will take place in Venues 1 and 2 at the Student's Union as well as throughout the town.
