St Andrews' Head Janitor and Bedellus John Jardine takes a brief rest at the entrance to St Salvator’s Quad, scene of the annual Raisin Monday celebrations.
The event, which this year will take place this year on Monday November 21st , involves a mass foam fight among first year students as the conclusion to a weekend of festivities.
The Raisin tradition dates back to the early years of St Andrews' foundation, when younger students would thank their elders with the gift of a pound of raisins.
