Museum of the University of St Andrews (MUSA) has been awarded 5 stars, signifying “exceptional”, from Visit Scotland’s Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance scheme.
Artefacts on display in the museum include the world famous mediaeval maces, a unique set of 70 silver medals and 3 silver arrows from the seventeenth century, the Great Astrolabe (1572), Sir David Brewster’s microscope and many other outstanding collections of paintings, rare books and manuscripts.
