St Andrews student Geordie Stewart has sent a message of thanks to the University for supporting his record-breaking attempt to conquer Mount Everest.
Geordie, who made it to the top in the early hours of Thursday 26 May, was supported by the University’s 600th Anniversary Fund.
As he prepared to tuck into his first proper meal in three weeks, Geordie sent a photo of himself at the top of the summit, holding the official 600th banner, along with a message of thanks.
Second year Divinity student Geordie is expected to land back in the UK later this week.
