Dr Andrea Di Falco and his colleagues hit the headlines with the latest piece of research on invisible materials announced this month.
Using tiny atoms that can interact with light, the St Andrews' researchers have developed a flexible new 'smart' material that could theoretically appear invisible to the naked eye.
The Scotsman went one further by imagining Harry Potter as an undergraduate in St Salvator's Quadrangle wearing an invisible gown!
