Prince Hassan of Jordan, regarded as an international advocate for peace, delivered a lecture to more than 200 staff and students on Wednesday 18th November. Calling for world leaders around the globe to assure the future peaceful survival of mankind, his lecture The Fertile or Futile Crescent explored the need for a law of peace, not a law of war.
Described as a 'humanitarian champion' by Principal Dr Louise Richardson who introduced the lecture, Prince Hassan is the founder of numerous organisations including the Arab Thought Forum, as well as winner of the Abraham Geiger Award for his work towards global sustainability and inter-religious understanding.
