Nicholas Parsons arrives in St Andrews for his Rectorial drag in 1989.
Nicholas Parsons, (born 1923) British actor, radio and television presenter, was Rector of the University of St Andrews from 1988 to 1991.
Nicholas Parsons' arrival replicated his then recent televison appearance in a car advert by driving out of the back of a lorry and through a series of manoeuvres.
The Installation Ceremony for the current University Rector, Kevin Dunion, will take place on Tuesday 3rd March at 3pm in the Younger Hall.
The traditional pre-installation activities, including the Rectorial Drag, will take place on Monday 2 March 2009.
