Students form a human ribbon to mark AIDS week.
Following a procession through St Andrews as part of AIDS week (28 November-8 December 2008) students gathered at the Cathedral in the shape of an AIDS ribbon.
AIDS Week is organised by One World, UNICEF, Young Heroes and the United Nations Youth and Student Association (UNYSA).
The St Andrews' UNYSA society has run events throughout the week including workshops, an open mic night, a Red Bop in The Union and a StarFM: AIDS Special on www.standrewsradio.com.
The final event, a discussion called "Empty promises are hard to swallow" on Monday 8th December from 7-9pm in School II aims to discuss government involvement in the AIDS crisis. Guest speakers are Professor Mike Kesby, Georgina Rannard and Nick Roxburgh from the Labour Club and the event is chaired by Rector Kevin Dunion.
The photograph of the "Stand Up and Unite Against AIDS" event was taken from the top of the cathedral tower by Kerry Grainger.
