The Guild Cup - one of the items in the historic collections on display in the new Museum of the University of St Andrews, MUSA.  The cup dates between 1613-14 and was presented by Dr Guild to the Faculty of Theology at the University of St Andrews in 1628.

Founded in 1413, St Andrews is Scotland's oldest university and its history, personalities and teaching practices can be traced through the collections of documents, art works, photographs, laboratory equipment and specimens that have been accumulated over the centuries.

The University has a collection of over 112,000 museum artefacts spanning the arts and the sciences.  The opening of a new Museum for the University of St Andrews (MUSA) will provide greater public access to these historic collections.

Located at 7A The Scores, MUSA will house four exhibition galleries, an education centre, viewing terrace and sculpture garden.  The creation of a new fully accessible Learning Loft with a varied programme of educational activities will enhance learning for all.

Admission to MUSA is free. Opening times: October, Monday - Saturday 10am-5pm; Sunday 12-5pm.

From the end of October 2008 MUSA will open 4 days a week, Thursday-Sunday, 12-4pm.
