TV star 'Battleaxe' visits St Andrews to open pre-season training.
TV's 'Battleaxe' was in St Andrews at the weekend to officially open the University's first ever pre-season training camp, which takes place all week (Sunday 14th - Saturday 20th September) at the Sports Centre.
Organised by the Department of Sport and Exercise and the Athletic Union, the aim of the camp is to prepare St Andrews performance teams physically and psychologically for a successful 2008-2009 sports season.
Sixty-five athletes are taking part in the event, one of a host of new initiatives launched to help deliver the recent joint "Strategy for Sport" (between the DSE & AU).
