Draft Timetables 2014-15

It is still some time until we are able to have confirmed timetables for session 2014-15.

Pre-honours lecture slots are fixed by the University:-

  • AS1001 and AS1101 Astronomy One at 11 in first semester
  • PH1011 Physics 1A and PH1012 Physics 1B at noon in first and second semester respectively
  • AS1002 Physical Universe at 11 in second semester
  • AS2001 and AS2101 Astronomy Two 11 in second semester
  • PH2011 Physics 2A and PH2012 Physics 2B at 10 in first and second semester respectively
  • Gateway and Evening Degree modules are at their usual times

Honours lecture slots are timetabled in consultation with other Schools, and we now have draft timetables, which are subject to change, and where we do not yet have confirmation of room bookings. While many times are the same as last session, we have changed some times due to looking at what some people have pre-advised into, and attempting to remove some clashes. Please see the pre-advising information further below. Please note that the lecture times that appear in the advising database and in the course catalogue can be expected to be less up-to-date than those showing here.

The Student-Staff Council has representatives for students in each year of study, and also a postgraduate representative and ten members of staff. Its primary purpose is to serve as a forum for the discussion of academic issues, but it also oversees some of the social facilities available in the building and some student activities.
