Consortium description
Each of the team members contributes critical expertise, some of which is unique in Europe, to address the ambitious objectives put forward in this proposal. Work on the fundamental understanding of the slow light phenomenon at CNRS and Milano will interact with State of the Art fabrication technology at Glasgow and St. Andrews in order to produce structures that can be made and demonstrated. Innovative characterisation methods at Amsterdam will clarify an understanding of the processes inside the structures themselves, giving a quick route to improvements. The consortium, despite its small size of only 5 partners, therefore comprises all the critical elements of the research «foodchain», from design to fabrication and characterisation.
