European MSc in Photonics
Taught Postgraduate MSc
Overview
Our collaboration with the University of Ghent, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Heriot-Watt University, and KTH Stockholm resulted in the European Union funding this two-year Master of Science programme. Though this funding has now finished, there may still be some opportunities for funding. Students spend the first academic-year of the programme in one country taking a range of modules. There is then a short summer school. The first semester of the second academic year is spent in St Andrews, and consists of advanced taught-course modules. The final semester is spent at one of the universities int eh consortium undertaking a major research project.
Applications to the European MSc in Photonics are made centrally to the programme, via the link below, and not directly to the University of St Andrews.
From 2012-entry on, this programme students will spend the firsttwo semesters of the two-year programme in Belgium, third semester in St Andrews, and the fourth semester at one of the universities in the collaboration undertaking a major project.
