PC Classroom
The
PC classroom is a 24 hour access facility in our building.
While not being used for whole-class teaching it is available
for general student use. Software for word processing,
spreadsheets, presentations, and programming are available,
as well as internet access. A range of commercial
and locally-produced simulation programmes and teaching
material are also widely used here.
The
PC classroom was officially opened by Heather Reid, well
known in Scotland as the weather presenter on the BBC
Scotland television evening news. Heather's physics
degree is useful in her career in meteorology; she has
also been the chair of the Scottish Branch of the Institute
of Physics. She is pictured here at the official
opening with representatives of the School and University.
