Blair joins us from Lundin Links in Fife, and is studying on the joint degree programme in Mathematics and Physics. He says:-

"I always knew that I wanted to study Mathematics but in my later school years I found I enjoyed Physics just as much, so I decided to do a joint degree. It turns out that it was a fantastic decision for me as I have thoroughly enjoyed the Physics course so far. The courses are enthralling and are taught by approachable and enthusiastic members of staff who make the lectures a vibrant place to be. I was offered a place in the direct entry scheme but I decided to do first year in order to consolidate my knowledge as well as giving me plenty of time to settle into a new lifestyle.

Aside from education there are plenty of things to do in St Andrews – there are societies for almost anything you could think of and various sporting activities which include my favourite, Ultimate Frisbee. St Andrews is a wonderful place to study but the best thing about being here is the different types of people you meet. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly."
