Multi-page printing

Printing lecture notes from these web pages can amount to a large number of pages - and therefore cost. To minimise cost to yourself - and to help the environment a little - you might want to consider printing more than one page of notes per piece of paper. You have a choice of putting 1,2,4,6,9,16 pages of notes onto a single sheet of paper. Sixteen pages per page makes it all quite unreadable, nine is still quite small, but six or four are a good compromise. This will obviously approximately quarter or sixth your printing costs - and it gives you a smaller bundle of pages to carry around.

To use multi-page printing you simply follow these couple of extra steps in the normal printing process.

• Choose the print option from your application (Word, Acrobat reader, etc.)
• You should see a print dialog box like the one shown below (this is from Acrobat Reader v6 as in the PC classrooms)
  
• Press the properties button on this dialog box and you will the dialog box below:
  
• You can now choose how many pages of note you would like ot appear on a single page of A4 paper from the print.
