An EPSRC funded project

Workshop & Demonstration

The workshop is now over, we thank all the participants for joining us in St Andrews.

Modular Ultrafast Sources for Integrated Control (MUSIC) is a joint project which seeks to lead the way in the development of a new generation of ultrafast lasers. By adopting a modular approach for laser design we aim to demonstrate a platform from which lasers can be designed to address a wider range of user-specific requirements.

Workshop topics: multi-section semiconductor & vibronic-crystal ultrafast lasers
A one-day workshop and meeting will be held on the 5th of April 2010 at the SUPA School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of St Andrews, UK. This workshop on next-generation ultrafast sources will feature a mixture of invited talks, technical talks and demonstrations aimed to disseminate the work of the MUSIC consortium over the past three years. Numbers are limited but academics and industry specialists as well as graduate researchers and PhD students are strongly encouraged to register.
