The School has developed a number
of courses to be delivered online. These courses
take advantage of Flash animations
to enhance learning and develop key concepts. The
phasor animation below is one such example; here,
the polarisation state through a birefringent plate
is "mapped" to a phasor diagram. The example shows
a half-wave plate, what sort of plate would you
have if only half the thickness were used in the
z-direction?
If you would like to know more about
using Flash to develop learning material, or have
further questions about our approach to Flash-based
animations for online learning please contact Tom
Edwards.
