Candlemas semester Orientation

Welcome!  Let me introduce myself.   My name is Wendy Houldsworth and I am one of the International Student Advisers at the University, and I am delighted to be the first person to welcome you here to the University of St Andrews.  My colleague Ailsa Ritchie, Deputy Director of Student Services, and Jacky Lawson, Assistant International Student Adviser, will meet you on Thursday morning to welcome you in person.

As you are reading this, it is safe to assume that you are in St Andrews and installed in your Hall of Residence.  It is important that you take the opportunity in the next few hours to rest, so that you are ready to go on Thursday morning. 

On entering your Hall, along with your welcome pack you should also have received your Student ID Card; you should carry this with you from now on to gain access to University buildings.  If you have not received your ID card, you should contact IT Services on (46) 2532 for assistance.

I will see you on Thursday morning at 10am in the Buchanan Building, Union Street, for the start of your Orientation programme.  If you have any queries before then, please contact the numbers published in this Programme or email theasc@st-andrews.ac.uk.
