Nightline - University of St Andrews
NIGHTLINE Nightline is recruiting!

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to join Nightline's listening service this semester. We offer a comprehensive training program which will happen over the following dates: Saturday 16th February, Sunday 17th, Saturday 23rd, and Sunday 24th (all 9am-5pm). All prospective volunteers must be able to attend all training dates. New listening volunteers are given excellent continuous support and join a social and friendly organisation with opportunities to be part of the running of Nightline.

Come along to our Introductory Talk on Thursday 7th February at 7pm in the Salad Bowl to learn more about becoming a volunteer. All applicants should fill out an application form, available below, and some applicants will then be given an interview. Either email your completed form to nline[at]st-andrews.ac.uk or hand in your application form in person at the introductory talk. The deadline for electronically submitted forms is 8pm on Thursday 7th February, and the deadline for forms submitted in person is the Introductory Talk.

We have one male and one female volunteer on duty every night that we are open and try to maintain a having a range of volunteers at different stages in their education so we tailor our recruitment to the current needs of the organisation. Because training is a long process, we are unable to take new volunteers who are in their final semester at St Andrews. There are a limited number of places in each training, and we receive far more applications than we can accept. If you are not given an interview, it is no reflection on you, your skills, or your experiences. If you have any concerns or questions about our recruitment process, then please email nline[at]st-andrews.ac.uk or talk to us at the Introductory Talk.

You can download an application in the following ways:
DOCX | DOC | PDF

Both the .docx and .doc formats can be completed electronically and submitted online to nline[at]st-andrews.ac.uk. The PDF application should be printed out and handed in by the Introductory Talk (Salad Bowl - 7pm on Thursday, February 7th).
