There are many ways to get involved in Nightline; from being a listening volunteer, to getting involved in committee and the running of our organisation, to helping to publicise our service, to taking on a role in the National Nightline charity. Whatever your involvement, Nightline strives to provide a supportive and welcoming environment amongst our volunteers and no matter what your time or your interest, there may be something for you.
Become Facebook Friends with Hugsy, the Nightline Bear
Head over to Facebook and add Hugsy as your newest friend. Check out his status updates about upcoming Nightline events and future appearances! You may soon see some videos and more photos from Hugsy, too.
Join as a Listening Volunteer Nightline is run entirely by student volunteers. If you think you've got what it takes to listen and to not judge and to give support but not advice, you can apply for this semester right now.
Join the Publicity Team Nightline also has a small, non-anonymous publicity team whose members are committed to promoting our service within the student body. If you like to think creatively and are interested in helping to publicise Nightline, then email us at nline[at]st-andrews.ac.uk with the subject line "Publicity Team".
Nightline Awareness Week
Nightline Awareness Week takes place every November and is packed with events that promote and publicise our service. Last year’s lineup included a Post Secret-style event, a Pajama Bop, a pub quiz, an open mic night, and a live music evening – keep an eye out across town and check the ‘events’ page on our website for details of what will be happening this November!
