Ruth assists Helen in the day-to-day running of the Music Centre and has taken on the role of Summer Organ School Co-ordinator. She has worked in the Music Centre for over 7 years and before joining the University, she worked as a Bar manager in a village pub. She took up the violin when she was 8 years old and throughout her school years, played in school and regional orchestra's including Fife Youth String Orchestra and Fife Youth Orchestra. These days you would be more likely to find her playing drums rather than violin. She occasionally plays drums with a local ceilidh band who, in 2007 and 2008, appeared in the Ceilidh Tent at T in the Park. When not at work, she enjoys playing golf.
