ConcertCard
ConcertCard is offered by the Music Centre with collaborative support from MUSSOC, the St Andrews Chorus and the St Andrews Music Club. ConcertCard is available to all matriculated students and offers exceptional value for money to those who enjoy attending concerts. ConcertCard provides access to around thirty concerts each year, including our autumn series of professional chamber concerts, which this year features the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, Matthew Rose (bass) and Roy Howat (piano). ConcertCard costs £35, but students who wish to purchase it at the same time as Music Centre Membership can do so for a combined cost of £50, saving £10 on individual prices.
Individual Tuition Fees
Fees are set in line with the Musicians' Union guidelines. Lessons must be paid for, a block at a time, in advance. We accept debit and credit cards (in person and by phone) as well as cheques (made payable to University of St Andrews) and cash. Students may also be charged via their student account. Instrumental and/or vocal tuition can now be paid online.
NB Everyone taking tuition must also be a Music Centre member and pay the appropriate fee.
Lessons cost £15 per half hour, or £30 per hour, as follows:
| Block 1 (10 weeks) | One hour lesson per week | £300 |
| One half hour lesson per week | £150 | |
| Block 2 (11 weeks) | One hour lesson per week | £330 |
| One half hour lesson per week | £165 |
Hire of Younger Hall
The Younger Hall is extensively used throughout the year. However, it is sometimes possible for individuals and organisations to hire the Hall for private functions. Please email us if you are interested, giving details of the nature of your event, anticipated number of participants/audience and preferred dates.
