MLitt in Modern Hispanic Literature and Film

Programme Duration: One year
Aim of Programme: This degree offers an entry into postgraduate studies or to refine and further the interests of students of Hispanic culture with goals other than academic life. The course provides high-level tuition by two internationally respected departments and universities: St Andrews and Santiago de Compostela.
Programme Content: It involves studying in St Andrews in Semester 1 (through a module on Theory and Practice of Literary Research and another on Patterns in Hispanic Literature and Film) and in Santiago in Semester 2 (ERASMUS exchange), through a range of options including both methodology and literature studies with a focus on the modern period. The MLitt normally concludes with the writing of a dissertation of 15,000 words on an agreed topic.
