Student life

Italian at St Andrews has a student-run Italian Society which organises:

  • a published Journal supported by The Italian Consulate od Scotland in Edinburgh
  • an Italian Threatre group lead and directed by professional actor and PhD in Italian Studies Mario Prisco. This yearÂ’s is the fourth Play that Italian has run in the last five years.
  • Cineforum of 5 contemporary Italian movies per Semester organised and led by Dr Francesca Lacaita, fl21@st-andrews.ac.uk, our Government Lector.
  • a number of other social and academic activities such as wine tastings, publicity for study abroad scholarships in various Italian Language Schools, and exchange language classes led by native speakers of Italian to support students of Italian at St Andrews.
