Several academics in Modern Languages have recently secured funding from Scottish-based institutions. Dr K Anipa (Spanish Department) received funding from the Carnegie Trust and the Royal Society of Edinburgh to carry out research in Spain on his project 'Juan de Valdes, Dialogo de la lengua. A diplomatic edition'.
Dr Emily Finer (Russian Department) secured funding from the Carnegie Trust which will enable her to work on a project entitled 'The Best of Times, The Worst of Times: Reading Charles Dickens in the Soviet Union'.
Elodie Laugt, from the French Department, will be carrying out research in France in spring 2013 thanks to funding from the Carnegie Trust on her project 'Le partage de la littérature'.
