Research and Teaching

Manolo Lagares, lector in Spanish, arrived at the University of St Andrews in September 2010, after several years teaching language in different universities such as Paris Est and Toulouse-le Mirail in France, then Glasgow in Scotland, and other institutions. He teaches levels from complete beginners to Senior Honours. He graduated in Humanities at the University of Cadiz and then obtained a Masters in Iberian Studies at the University of Toulouse and more recently a Masters in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Alcalá de Henares.

His research interest is focused on the development of teaching materials, especially oral classes for higher (C1-C2) levels, and in the analysis of errors.
