Full research profile

Research and Teaching

I have focused my research on contemporary Spanish autobiographical writing. In 2007 I published a book on autobiographies dealing with childhood and adolescence (El relato de infancia en España, 1891-1942). I am currently researching on the relationships between photography and autobiography in the 19th and 20th century in Spain.

I have taught at all levels, mainly prose and 19th century novels of the realist and modernist periods. I have also taught at postgraduate level. I have also taught the module “SP3157 Autobiographical Writing in 20th Century Spain”. In the next future I will also teach a module on Spanish literature and culture of the late 19th century and early 20th century: “SP3160 Facing the New: Spanish Literature and Society (1888 - 1918)”
