Teaching and Research
As Lector, I focus on teaching Ukrainian to students as well as developing teaching materials. My course provides students with intensive language tuition in Ukrainian over one semester of study. During this time, the students will receive basic knowledge of the language enabling them to read and understand texts from books and newspapers, maintain basic conversations. They will also find out about Ukrainian history and culture. I’m trying to select engaging materials for each course activity using books, newspapers and Ukrainian news websites. I am also interested in the similarities between Ukrainian and Scottish culture and everyday life.
