Introduction

Careers Centre logo Provided by the University of St Andrews School of Management in association with the University Careers Centre and The Centre for Academic Professional and Organisation Development (CAPOD), the Master's Extra (MX) Programme offers a range of professional, personal and employment/career activities to complement your academic studies throughout the year. Details of the MX events for Semesters One and Two are indicated below.

CAPOD logoAttendance at the MX events is voluntary but strongly recommended as it will help to develop your employability skills. Moreover, attendance at each MX event will earn you points towards a Certificate in Career Development (CCD/MX) which will be a useful addition to your CV. Attendance at each MX event will earn you five points and you need to accumulate 20 points to achieve the Bronze CCD/MX Certificate, 40 points to achieve the Silver Certificate and 60 points to achieve the Gold Certificate. When you attend an MX event you will need to record your attendance by swiping your student card through the card reader that will be near the entrance to the lecture theatre where events are held. Certificates are issued to eligible students at the end of May 2012 by the Careers Centre. Please visit the Careers Centre and CAPOD websites for more information about the resources each has to assist you with your studies and career development.
