Taught Postgraduate Programmes: Masters Degrees

Our core group of international academics specialise in research into all aspects of business and management practice. We work in collaboration with leading international companies and offer challenging applied postgraduate Masters degrees, which are recognised the world over. The traditions and reputation of St Andrews, one of Europe's most ancient and prestigious universities, ensure that the business education you receive here is of the highest quality.

Postgraduate Masters degrees are offered in the following areas:

For School of Management Taught Postgraduate students, the Master's Extra (MX) Programme provides a range of professional, personal and employment/career activities to complement your academic studies throughout the year.

Each programme is based in the School of Management and forms part of the University's broader portfolio of subjects such as Economics, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Mathematics, Information Technology, History, Film Studies, Modern Languages and International Relations. Currently, the School has over 300 Masters students on these courses from over 30 different countries.

The concept of responsible enterprise underpins the School's research and teaching activities. This means that the key principles of corporate social responsibility run throughout the teaching on all of our programmes.

For the 2012/13 academic year, the School is looking to expand the range of option (elective) modules open to all of our Masters students in the area of ethics and responsibility in addition to those which are already running (for example, MN5611 Alternative Investments). Students who are particularly interested in studying corporate social responsibility and who have a background in business, management or a related discipline should apply for one of the following programmes:

MLitt in International Business
MLitt in Marketing
MLitt in Human Resource Management

If you are successful in gaining admission to one of the above programmes, you will be able to tailor your studies through the careful selection of both option modules and your choice of dissertation topic to allow you to focus on corporate social responsibility.
