Research Interests

Orian's current research focuses on developing improved predictions of arts attendance from local areas, building spatial models that include distance from venues and local travel patterns as well as geodemographic variables. This speaks on the one hand to our understanding of patterns of cultural consumption and on the other hand policy decisions about where to invest, and marketing decisions about locating audiences.
