Biography

Tim Scott began his career with British Rail, attaining the position of senior industrial relations manager, ScotRail before leaving to read for a PhD in organisation theory. He has held previous academic positions at Warwick Business School, the University of York and the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Organisation. Since its publication, Scott's et al book on health organisational culture has influenced research and practice on NHS organisational development. His book on implementing new information technology in Kaiser Permanente (Scott, Rundall et al), was the first intensive study of a large scale implementation of a health information system and is currently influencing US policy development.

Research Specialisms

Poststructuralist perspectives on philosophy, aesthetics, organisation, marketing, advertising, organisational sociology and ethnography.
