MA Senior Honours Lecturer
Stewart Howe is a graduate of Strathclyde, Glasgow and Loughborough universities, and was awarded his PhD for an industrial organisation study of the Dundee industrial textiles industry. He taught economics and management over a number of years at the University of Abertay Dundee where was head of the School of Management for 15 years. Latterly he was a part-time lecturer in the School of Management at Heriot Watt University, and he is now in his third year as a member of external faculty in the University of St Andrews School of Management.
During his full-time teaching career Dr Howe was author of a number of texts, monographs and journal articles in the fields of industrial economics and management, with a particular interest in retailing management. His last publication was Retailing in the European Union: Structures, Competition and Performance.
