Founded in 1990/91, activities include:
Social and Environmental Accounting Journal:
Bi-annual newsletter/journal edited by CSEAR and distributed to members since 1993;
International Congress on Social and Environmental Accounting Research:
Organised annually since 1992 and involving about 50 academic and practitioner delegates annually from the UK and overseas;
Information and Consultation:
Dealing with enquiries, requests for information and tutorial support for visitors and members.
Arranging facilities and support for the many visitors from all over the world.
Maintaining a specialist library and supplying reading lists and other guidance;
Developing and maintaining supportive website
Funding:
CSEAR is supported by the University but is otherwise financially self-supporting through
membership, fees, consultancy, research grants, donations and sponsorship;
Other Activities:
Various other activities including data and research dissemination, networking and encouraging
the development of regional centres.
CSEAR received a "flagged" status for its research work in the 1996 RAE.
