Biography

Kais joined the School of Management in September 2012 as a Lecturer in Banking and Finance. He received his PhD from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Canada. His PhD dissertation examines several aspects of the relation between social performance and risk for non-financial and financial firms. He was a teaching fellow at the Université du Québec à Montréal where he taught a corporate finance course for undergraduate program.

He has presented research papers in several conferences and published in collaboration with his co-supervisors articles in academic journals and conference proceedings. Since 2003, he has been a research assistant at the Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Research Chair (www.crsdd.uqam.ca) which has provided him the opportunity to learn the theoretical foundations of corporate social responsibility, responsible investment, corporate citizenship and the various issues of sustainable development.

Kais has completed his MBA in 2006 at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and his Bachelor in 1999 at the Institut des Hautes Études Commerciales (IHEC), Carthage, Tunisia.
